
On March 22, 2010, Arlene Wilgosh joined the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority as President and Chief Executive Officer – the first woman and nurse in this position. Born and raised in Minnedosa, Manitoba, Arlene started her health care career in Winnipeg as a staff nurse at Health Sciences Centre. She also held various nursing and nurse leadership roles in Intensive Care and Emergency at the Victoria General Hospital. Arlene continued to build on her passion for patient care and health care management in Manitoba, serving in the roles of Director of Patient Care Services at Kildonan Personal Care Home and Chief Executive Officer of the Red River Valley Health District in Morris. Prior to joining the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, Arlene served in various positions with the Provincial Department of Health and Healthy Living, including Deputy Minister of Health for the Province of Manitoba.
