For over 20 years, Heather Grant-Jury has played a major role in Winnipeg as a community volunteer and trade union activist.
Heather was elected President of the Winnipeg Labour Council in 1986 and served in that position for the next 18 years. She is currently Director of the UFCW Training Centre – a position she’s held since 2004. Heather also served as 2007 Campaign Chair for United Way of Winnipeg.
Her passion and commitment to ensuring people are treated with fairness, dignity, and respect is known throughout the city, and her many volunteer efforts have helped improve the quality of life for all Winnipeggers.
