United Way of Winnipeg’s President since 1985, Susan Lewis has helped broaden the organization’s reach and impact in our community. Today, under Susan’s leadership, United Way focuses on creating opportunities for lasting change and better lives for all Winnipeggers by connecting the people and resources necessary to address our city’s most challenging social issues.
Susan first joined United Way in 1973 as a Campaign Division Director before going on to become the first female President of any United Way in Canada. She has played an active role on many national committees, including The Brand Strategy Task Group, the Strategic Alignment Policy Group and the National Professional Advisory Group. In Winnipeg, she has been involved in several organizations and projects, including Economic Development Winnipeg, TransPlan 2010, CentrePlan and the C5 Civil Initiative.
