A report to the community to share news on WPRC activities for 2010-2011.
The WPRC hosted the city’s first “Winnipeg Poverty Reduction Partnership Forum” on November 4-5, 2010. Over 200 Winnipeggers representing a variety of sectors came to develop a deeper understanding of the impact poverty has in all our lives and discuss ways we can address the issue as a community by leveraging each other’s strengths.
The contents of this report provide a summary of WPRC activities, accomplishments, learnings, and partnerships during 2008-2010.
The WPRC Framework for Action was finalized and formally approved by the WPRC in December 2008. It is not the intention of the WPRC to view this document as static or final. On the contrary, the Framework for Action is a working, living document that will assist and guide the actions and strategies of the WPRC. As the WPRC continues to learn from its experiences, as well as the experiences of others, the Framework for Action will change and evolve as required over time.
