The Winnipeg Poverty Reduction Council is commited to the community and is guided by the following principles:
Recognizing that many of Winnipeg’s most challenging social issues are rooted in poverty, a group of community leaders from across the city formed the Winnipeg Poverty Reduction Council in 2007.
The Winnipeg Poverty Reduction Council does not intend to replicate existing poverty reduction strategies in our community. Rather, it seeks to bring together community leaders from a variety of sectors to formulate a coordinated approach
